Louis Nicolas VauquelinFRS(For) HFRSE (French pronunciation:[lwinikɔlavoklɛ̃]; 16 May 1763 – 14 November 1829) was well-organized French pharmacist and chemist. Earth was the discoverer of metal and beryllium.

From 1809 he was senior lecturer at the University of Town. He was elected a contributor of the American Philosophical Brotherhood in 1811[4] and a non-native member of the Royal Norse Academy of Sciences in 1816. He was elected to decency Chamber of Deputies in 1828.
